Little Red Ridinig Hood by HypnoticRose Little Red Ridinig Hood by HypnoticRose
I'm really inspired by old 19th century illustration so I made this one.
No reference used except wolf - it was to difficult to me so here is the reference of wolf: hotnstock.deviantart.com/art/W… I'm still trying to increase my skills in watercolors but they're too difficult ;___;
black pens, HB pencil and watercolors on A5 sized watercolor paper

:D Thanks! I'm glad you like it :aww:
It looks horrible as a scan and then converted here - it lost all quality :C I don't know how people make their works looks so nice here on dA - e.g. you; do you have any trick for that? ;D

HAHAHAHA OMG I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! I hate the scans they just will never look as nice as the original. I've tried everything to fix it the only thing i can recommend is getting a VERY good scan and i use photoshop to edit out imperfections like dust from the scanner. I think your quality is very good what do you do?

I do the same - I choose the best scan and then, retouch it in PS to make the most similar to the original work effect :/ But there are some things that destroy whole effect of work - e.g. grain and white dots, strange contrast... Maybe I should buy a better scanner :? (the one I used is from Middle Ages I think XD) I tried to photograph my works but there are a lot of other problems - like cambered paper (you know - when you soak heavy paper - it bends) strange light and to take nice photo is almost impossible :/

I use a scanner from like a print place. Or I use another company that makes banners and stuff for buisnesses. They have a nice scanner but charge me $5 a scan-what a rip off! I have tried photos too.....had the same problems. when i scanned Death Becomes her the pencil tones looked a bit weird because of the metallic in the pencil. I just can't win. I have the way it makes colored pencil look grainy even if i tried really hard to make is smooth! It drives me nuts :( I'm a traditional artist at heart...always will be.

Oh I see... It's nice idea - maybe I should try the same - but I'm always so impetuous I can't wait too much for submiting my works :D I tried to make some digital (retouch, whole work) but as you said - I'm a traditional artist at heart too - technology hates me XD
