Cersei - a Gold Lioness GOT by HypnoticRose Cersei - a Gold Lioness GOT by HypnoticRose
It took me a lot of hours but I'm still dissatisfied with the effect...
It's made with mixed media - watercolors as underpainting and then I put colored pencils to create shadows, lights and generaly details. I wanted to create a gold look of this image but I feel something went wrong. :/
This is my third work with character from GOT - I love these series  and I made personifications of Fire and Ice based on the series of Martins book :D but it's only fanfiction.
When I finished coloring her face I realized that she reminds me Sharon Tate o_O strange thing.

I used as a reference this wonderful stock photo:
tigersgirl.deviantart.com/art/…
I used another one stock photo for background - but the owner has deleted account on DA lately. :C I know only that it was from - VivaStock.

I thought about making promised tutorial of making hair but it's hard when use a lot of techniques and mediums (I make my each work with different medium or technique of mixing colors XD) - and I still not decided which one I prefer and which looks the best for me. :/

This is seriously beautiful! You should most definitely be happy with your result, if youve worked so hard on it! You can always redraw it later, but be happy with yourself, and give yourself some credit! This is some crazy detailing! Those windows and stones are absolutely beautifully detailed and coloured. I always have a hard time with the background, but you make it look easy and your pencil work it great! i never understood the use of colour pencils, though i still hope to learn! :) Keep up the good work! <3

Thank you so much for your motivating comment!!! It really made my day! Colored pencils are quite easy - disturbing is fact that the ones I work with don't have colors which I need the most for shading (e.g. dark crimson for her dress) ;P I think other brands or expensive complets have more interesting colors :P I hink you should try this type of coloring - it's time-consuming but easy and effects are really nice, just one tip - do not use watercolors pencils :D they're horrible.
I'm quite a tough person - I never redraw/paint my works, maybe this is the reason that when I screw up something it hurts me so bad...

Watercolor pencils are more waxy than normal pencils. Usual pencils are much softer, and there's no difficulties to apply them on surface. :)
Thanks!
